The Lecture Phase

…Is presented by gifted teachers of various backgrounds and nationalities. Many have had years of experience internationally both in the training of others for missions and in practical service on the mission field.

…Is a full time course where teaching is greatly emphasized. Students spend 15 hours per week attending lectures.

A typical day would comprise 2 lecture periods in the morning, intercession time and a small group meeting, followed by an afternoon work duty.

All the topics of a DTS are taught in order to prepare the Christian messenger for the task of world evangelisation. Topics include:

  •     How to hear the voice of God
  •    The character and ways of God
  •    Personal character development
  •    God’s principles for relationships
  •    The power of forgiveness
  •    Evangelism and mission
  •    Prayer and intercession
  •    Gifts of the Holy Spirit
  •    Inner Healing
  •    Blessings & Curses
  •    Christian Worldview

The Outreach Phase

The field assignment follows immediately after the lecture phase, lasts for a minimum period of 8 weeks and will take place in a cross-cultural situation.

Past outreaches have been to destinations such as Spain, Norway, Scotland, Argentina, Brasil, South Africa, Italy.

We have come alongside the workers in these places, hearing how we can best serve their own particular needs and in doing so, experiencing the power and love of God at work in and through us.

The Outreach is a time to put into practice some of the truths that we have learned in the lecture phase, where we become doers of the word, not just hearers only.
